The Sphinx Hotel is surrounded by shopping areas, the flower market, Heineken Brewery and just from nearby you can take a canal boat that will bring you around the beautiful canals, the 17th century merchant houses, the old quarter of Amsterdam and the Red Light District. 
The hotel is open throughout the year which serves a Dutch breakfast in the romantically furnished Old-Dutch breakfast-room.
